UK managed service provider

Managed IT for UK businesses without an IT department.

Novastak provides managed IT for small and medium-sized UK organisations: users, devices, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity and office networks, looked after as one service.

The service in brief

  • IT support A named place to go when something stops working
  • Reliable connectivity Office networks and Wi-Fi designed to be used, then looked after
  • Microsoft 365 under control Email, files, identity and devices administered properly
  • Protected systems and data Security, access control, backup and recovery treated as part of IT
Fewer avoidable interruptions

Monitoring, patching and maintenance before staff are left waiting.

One place for IT issues

Support, networks, cloud and security handled by the same provider.

For UK SMEs

No IT team, a small internal team, or an MSP that is no longer a good fit.

Scoped before you commit

Clear recommendations so IT spend can be planned, not guessed at.

Business problems

Problems we help UK SMEs deal with

If any of these are familiar, the next step is a conversation, not a finished IT specification.

No internal IT team

Passwords, printers and laptops land on whoever is free. There is no proper support route when staff are stuck.

Support that only appears after something breaks

Tickets drag on, and nobody is patching, monitoring or improving the setup between incidents.

Microsoft 365 left unmanaged

Licences, sharing and access have grown over time, with little control over who can see business data.

Wi-Fi and networks that keep interrupting work

Calls drop, files crawl, and the cabling or wireless was never designed for how the office is used.

Security worries without a practical plan

Phishing, lost devices and unanswered questions about Cyber Essentials or customer security checks.

A move, new site or refresh with no owner

The office needs to be usable on day one: devices, Microsoft 365, Wi-Fi and cabling included.

Managed IT support

IT support, and maintenance between incidents

Staff need a clear place to go when something breaks. The environment still needs patching and monitoring when nothing is broken. Novastak provides both, so avoidable downtime is less likely to land on the owner.

  • Remote and onsite helpdesk when people are stuck
  • Monitoring, patching and maintenance between incidents
  • Windows and Linux servers
  • Devices, Intune, and easier user onboarding and offboarding
  • IT asset management

Cloud & Microsoft 365

Microsoft 365 kept under control

Cloud tools only stay reliable if someone is looking after licences, sharing, identity and devices. Novastak sets up, migrates and administers the platforms UK businesses actually use.

  • Microsoft 365 setup and administration
  • Entra ID, Active Directory and access management
  • Intune, Azure, AWS and hybrid infrastructure
  • Google Workspace, migration and cloud backup

Cybersecurity

Security for systems and data, as part of everyday IT

Novastak helps UK SMEs tighten email, device and access controls, and prepare for customer or insurer security questions, as part of everyday IT.

  • Assessments and practical recommendations
  • Email, endpoint and firewall protection
  • MFA, Conditional Access and awareness training
  • Support for Cyber Essentials, GDPR-related IT controls and PCI DSS

Novastak can support the technical work around these frameworks. It is not an accredited certification body; any certificate is issued by the relevant scheme or assessor.

Networks & infrastructure

Reliable office connectivity, then ongoing care

Unreliable Wi-Fi and messy cabinets interrupt work. Novastak plans, installs and maintains the infrastructure offices depend on, including new sites and relocations.

  • Cat5e, Cat6 and fibre cabling, patching and racks
  • Wi-Fi surveys, wireless installation and optimisation
  • Firewalls, LAN/WAN design and VPN
  • Structured cabling testing and certification, and new-site deployments

Why Novastak

Why work with Novastak

One provider for support, infrastructure and security, scoped before you commit, and accountable afterwards.

One accountable IT function

Users, devices, networks, cloud and security sit together. Fewer gaps, and fewer suppliers pointing at each other when something fails.

Infrastructure that can actually be supported

Cabling, Wi-Fi, racks and firewalls specified, installed and documented as business infrastructure.

Security and backup as part of IT

Access, email, devices and recovery are designed together. You are not left running a product nobody owns.

Work scoped around cost and disruption

Recommendations a director can take to a meeting. If something is unnecessary, we will say so.

If you want IT looked after as one function, the next step is a consultation.

How engagement works

How engagement typically works

You do not need a finished technical brief. We start with how the business uses IT today and where it is falling short.

  1. Step 01

    Consultation

Users, sites, current suppliers, Microsoft 365, security concerns, and any planned moves or projects.

  2. Step 02

    Assessment

Where useful, we review what is actually in place so recommendations are not based on guesswork.

  3. Step 03

    Proposal

A clear scope for ongoing support, project work, or both, including what is in and what is not.

  4. Step 04

    Onboarding

Users, devices, access, documentation and monitoring brought under management with as little disruption as possible.

  5. Step 05

    Ongoing management

Support, maintenance and review, with the aim of fewer surprises.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What size of business does Novastak work with?

The primary focus is UK small and medium-sized organisations: companies with no IT department, a small internal IT function that needs additional expertise, or an existing supplier that is no longer a good fit.

Do you only support Microsoft?

Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure and Windows are a core part of the service. Google Workspace, AWS, Linux servers and hybrid environments are also supported where they are already in use or the right fit.

Is support remote, onsite, or both?

Both. Many issues can be resolved remotely. Onsite work is used where it is needed, for example hardware, cabling, wireless surveys, rack work, new-site builds and office moves.

Can you take over from our current IT company?

Yes. Work would start with understanding contracts, access, documentation and any urgent risks, then moving support, administration and monitoring across in a planned way.

Do you help with Cyber Essentials?

Novastak can help with the technical controls and preparation around Cyber Essentials. Certification itself is assessed and awarded by the relevant scheme, not by Novastak.

Do you install CCTV and office networks as well as helpdesk support?

Yes. Structured cabling, wireless, firewalls, CCTV networking and new-site deployments sit alongside managed support. Smart-home and residential work is secondary to the business IT offering.
